We have been Cedar Creek owners since 2008. We searched for a private, beautiful lot for twenty years and are so happy that we chose Cedar Creek Cabin Rentals. We carefully designed our three bedrooms and three full-bathroom cabins, Whispering Pines, for comfort. Our vision for the cabin was to create a place for family and friends to come together for fun while also having areas for quiet time and rest.
Why We Chose To Build A Cabin
We love cabin life. It’s relaxing and casual. The privacy of our cabin is wonderful. One of the greatest benefits is how the cabin is a refuge from the interruptions of everyday life. At this home away from home, time seems to “stand still.” Even when it rains (which is seldom), we stay in our pajamas – playing games, watching movies, and roasting marshmallows in the fireplace.
What We Love About Our Cabin
The cabin has a full wrap-around deck, a large hot tub, a pool table, two flat-screen televisions, a fire pit out back, and a trail by a creek for quiet walks. The living room has comfortable seating for football game watching and that all-important “third quarter” nap. We bring movies to enjoy on the flat screen while flames crackle in the fireplace. The master bathroom has several extras such as double sinks, a Jacuzzi tub, and a large natural stone shower. Most importantly, a ramp is built in for easy access to and from the front door for wheelchairs, coolers, and luggage.

Cedar Creek Cabins Rentals, in and near Helen, is surrounded by nature in peaceful, beautiful settings with restaurants, shops, hikes, and other activities nearby. For example, within a 30-minute drive of Whispering Pines, are the picturesque towns of Helen, Dahlonega, and Clarkesville as well as unique places such as Unicoi Lodge, Amicalola Falls, Anna Ruby Falls, Toccoa Falls, Tallulah Gorge, Mark of the Potter, and Jaemor Farms, to mention just a few!
The Cedar Creek team maintains and manages the cabins like their own home—ensuring high quality, cleanliness, and comfort. When we were having the cabin built, Cedar Creek involved us in the design and décor selections. We chose the floor plan, custom-made furniture, color scheme, flooring, and granite countertops. We mainly wanted an indoor corner fireplace with stacked stone and Cedar Creek “delivered” on their promise!
Memories And Traditions Are Made At The Cabin
Every year, we spend Steve’s birthday weekend at the cabin. And a trip to the Hansel and Gretel Candy Store in Helen is always part of that fun weekend. We always enjoy lots of rest, good food, and fun walks in the woods as well as scenic drives nearby. In the summer, we tube the lazy river through Helen. It’s so relaxing and refreshing! And every year, Carrie hosts her high school girlfriends and other ladies’ groups for rest, laughter, and rejuvenation.
