History

The Vine is all about taking the classic experience of visiting a tasting room directly at the vineyard and bringing it to a fun and classy bistro experience. For years, the tasting room and bistro have been founded upon and known for a tradition of excellence in service and in products – from the wine itself to the food that compliments it so well.

The majority of the wine on offer is locally produced, from nearby vineyards such as Wolf Mountain, Montaluce, Habersham Winery, and Frog Town Cellars. There are also a few featured varieties that have their origins in the West Coast and International Vineyards. The Vine is also proud to offer superior hand-rolled cigars. For those who aren’t interested in wine, beer is also on the menu.

While you’re here, you can also expect to enjoy live entertainment on the weekends, compliments of local musicians. You’ll come for the experience of modern wine tasting at its best, and leave with happy memories, and a bottle or case of your favorite wine selections.

Available Wines

What’s your poison? No matter what your fancy, The Vine has it all. Featuring an impressive menu of locally, nationally, and internationally produced wines, you’ll find something to satisfy your taste buds. After tasting several varieties during your tasting, you’re welcome to purchase your favorites by the glass or by the bottle. If you really fall in love with a wine, you might elect to purchase a case. This is a great way to experience the wines of your choosing even after you go home from you Helen vacation, or can make for excellent gifts to family and friends.

If sparkling wine is what you desire, try a glass of Blanc de Blancs Burt, grown and produced at Wolf Mountain in nearby Dahlonega. Dry, light, and featuring bright, fruity flavors, this wine is a great pick for complimenting a light citrus salad. An Italian sparkling wine is also available in the form of La Marca Prosecco.

For those who prefer white wine, we’d suggest that you sip on the Muscadine from Habersham Winery in Helen. This wine is intensely fruity with crisp acidity, and is extremely popular. The semi-sweet Dolce produced at Montaluce Winery in Dahlonega is another delightful option.

Red wine recommendations include Habersham’s Scarlett blend. This is the vineyard’s best selling red, and is an off dry blend. It features a mix of Merlot, Chambourcin, and Vidal Blanc, making it smooth and fruity, featuring rich blackberry and blueberry flavors.

California grown and produced red wines are also available.
