This blog post is part of “HELEN RESTAURANTS DIRECTORY” blog series.

Located a short drive north of Atlanta, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, is the quaint town of Helen. With its cobblestone walkways and German architecture, the village of Helen is reminiscent of Alpine Bavaria. So it’s not a big surprise to find numerous restaurants featuring German dishes like schnitzel and sauerbraten.

What might surprise you is the extent of family owned restaurants run by executive chefs frequently trained in Europe!

Founded in 2011, Muller’s Famous Fried Cheese Café is a wonderful example of just that. Executive Chef and owner, Zdenek Muller, received his culinary training in Prague, Czech Republic. He and his family put their heart into cooking authentic German and Czech cuisine.

Why is Muller’s Famous Fried Cheese Café so “famous” you might ask? The restaurant is known for its incredible fried cheese platters and cheese dishes. One bite and you’ll understand why guests agree it’s the perfect name for this establishment. We recommend that you try the fried cheese during your visit to Muller’s Famous Fried Cheese Café.
