The South's oldest balloon event is coming! Helen's Atlantic Balloon Race is kicking off this June 1-3. Join us and watch the mass ascension of colorful and bright hot air balloons.
What to expect during this event?
Expect plenty of gorgeous balloons and lots of FUN!
The race is a test of both the pilot's and the crew's skills. The race starts in Helen, Georgia and the first person to cross I-95 is declared as the winner.
Balloons are scheduled to launch at 7 am on Thursday June 1st, weather permitting. But don't worry, in case of delays there is plenty to do around Helen. Check out some of the options here.
And get this, once the balloons are allowed to fly, you can get involved too! The public is allowed to assist with the inflation of the balloons, or be part of a chase crew and follow a balloon. How cool is that?
