If you’re headed East for a day trip through the Chattahoochee National Forest, be sure to drop by the Reece Apple House in Ellijay, GA. The U-Pick season runs throughout the fall. All you have to do is select the size bag that you desire and then fill it up with your apples picked right from the tree.
On weekends, Reece Apple House brings out the apple cannon! Test your skills to see if you can smash an apple by firing a cannon from 500 feet away. You and your family will also enjoy a petting zoo on Saturdays and Sundays. And if you decide to make it a day, you can enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage as you picnic at the orchard.
