Hold on tight! Located in Alpine Helen, Georgia, the Georgia Mountain Coaster is the first coaster in the area. Built in 2019, this thrilling ride through the forest is a popular attraction to make your next family getaway even more exciting.
Enjoyable for adults and children (kids ride with a parent) this coaster weaves and whirls around a track and through the north Georgia mountain forests for nearly a mile. Go at it at top speed, or ride it a bit slower using the sled break. Enjoy the view of Alpine City as you whip around the track. The mountain coaster, along with zip line tours and tubing in the Chattahoochee River, are some of the most exciting and sought-after activities in Helen. For families that visit Helen every year, the kids always want to know ‘When are we doing the Mountain Coaster?’!
The coaster has a max speed of 28 mph and has manual speed brake so you can take it at your own pace. To ensure the safety of riders, you must be fifty-four inches tall and at least 16 years of age to drive the cart. Passengers must be at least three years old and thirty-six inches tall. Two adults can ride, but the combined weight cannot be over 375 pounds, so you might have to skip that extra pancake at breakfast!
