How far are your cabins from Helen?
We have cabins directly in Helen up to about 25 minutes outside. Please see our "cabin gallery page and click on your desired distance -- all cabins that are not grayed out match your criteria.
Are your cabins pet friendly?
Quite a few of our cabins allow pets (dogs only). Please see our "pet-friendly" gallery page -- all cabins that are not grayed out allow pets.
What time is check-in/check-out?
Check in is at 4pm (or later) and check-out is by 11am.

Is it possible to make a last-minute reservation?
Absolutely. You will need to be able to receive your confirmation by email or fax and return our rental agreement via fax (or scan and email). If this is not possible, please call us and we may be able to figure out an alternate check-in method. If you make an online reservation on the same day as your arrival, please call us to confirm that we are aware of it and to clarify any questions you may have.
How can I see which cabins are available for the dates in which I am interested?
- visit our Cabin Search page
- enter your arrival date, number of nights of your stay, the number of people in your party and click "search by preference"
- this will bring up all the cabins that are available and meet your criteria
- to find out specific information about a cabin click on the "more pictures and information" link next to it
- on this page you will see additional pictures and a detailed listing of the specific cabin's amenities
How can I find the total price of a reservation?
- Follow the steps from above, and then . . .
- click on "Calculate Total Cost" at the bottom of the page to get the total price including cleaning fee and tax
- if you would like, you may proceed to make an online reservation from this point
How can I make a reservation?
Reservations can be made either online or by calling one of our friendly rental agents at (770) 952-4130. For online reservations, follow the instructions for the two questions above.
Are there any other fees associated with a rental?
In order to clearly disclose all pricing possibilities, the explanation below may seem confusing -- if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or email us. The simplest way to obtain a total price is to follow these instructions. Every reservation has a base rental rate which is for either 2, 4, 6, or 8 people (2 for 1-bedroom cabins; 4 for cabins that sleep from 4-8; 6 for cabins that sleep from 9-11; 8 for cabins that sleep 12 or more). Each additional person over the base rate will incur an additional $10 or $15 per night fee. Additionally, tax of 12% is charged (5% local, 7% state) on the rental fee and a flat rate cleaning fee ranging from $45 to $85, depending on the size of the cabin, is added to the total. If you bring a pet (pet-friendly cabins only) there is a $25/per pet non-refundable fee (limit 2 pets please).
What credit cards do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover (sorry no American Express).
Can I pay by a check or money order?
Yes, but you will still have to provide a credit card at the time of reservation. Your payment must then be put in the mail the next business day after the reservation is made. These methods of payment are not acceptable if your reservation is made less than 10 days in advance.
When is payment due?
At the time of reservation 50% of the total will be charged to the credit card on file - if you are planning on paying by check or money order please be sure to notify the rental agent and get the check in the mail no later than the next business day. The balance of your reservation (the remaining 50%) will be charged to the credit card on file 7 days prior to your arrival - if you plan on paying this portion by check we must receive it no less than 8 days prior to your arrival (please notify us if this is your intention).
Do I have to fill out this rental agreement?
YES. Otherwise we can't issue you your lockbox code and you will not be able to obtain the key to your cabin.
I don't have a fax machine, do I really need to fill this out.
Yes. You are welcome to scan the agreement and send it as an email attachment or send it via regular mail (as long as we receive it at least one week prior to your arrival). Additionally most office supply stores (Staples, Office Depot, etc.), shipping location (Kinko's, Mailboxes, etc., UPS store, etc.) and grocery stores offer fax services for a nomimal fee.
When will I get my lockbox code?
You will receive your lockbox code between 7 to 14 days prior to your arrival (usually closer to 7), but NOT UNTIL you have faxed (or emailed) a signed copy of the last page of our Rental Agreement.
My reservation is less than a week from now and I haven't received my lockbox code. Why?
1.) You have not sent in your signed rental agreement (please give us 24 hours after you send it to get your lockbox information to you).
2.) Your email provider (especially Yahoo!) is putting our "lockbox email" into a spam or junk folder. Please check them.
3.) If you are sure neither #1 nor #2 is the case, please contact us and we will happy to get the information to you.
How do I get the physical address of my cabin so I can put it in my navigation system?
Your navigation system (no matter how great it is) will most likely not get you to the exact location of your cabin. There are numerous errors for this region in the map database that appears to be shared by all manufacturers as well as Google Maps, MapQuest, etc. You can use your navigation system to get close, but be sure to have a copy of our written directions (at the bottom of each page of the written directions is an address to get you near your cabin with your navigation system).
I didn't get the directions. When will you send them to me?
Your confirmation email, as well as your lockbox email has links to the directions on them. Additionally, directions to all of our cabins can be obtained by clicking on the Directions menu item on our website and then clicking on the name of your cabin. If you need directions from somewhere not covered on our website, please let us know and we will be glad to assist you.
What do you provide, and what do I need to bring?
We provide you with the following:
- a clean home-away-from-home
- bedding up to the number of people specified in the maximum occupancy
- a clean set of towels (bath towel, hand towel, wash cloth) for each person
- a starter supply of toilet paper, and paper towels (usually enough for the typical 2-3 night stay)
- dishwasher (most cabins) and dish soap
- plates, glasses, cutlery, basic pots, pans, and cookware
Some things you may need to bring or purchase:
- all personal soaps and shampoos (we do not provide "hotel-like" soap and shampoo miniatures)
- hairdryer
- if your stay is lengthy, or you know that your group tends to use these items rapidly, please pick up some extra toilet paper and paper towels when you get your groceries (we do not restock these during your visit)
- if you intend to use the hot tub a lot, or you shower several times a day some extra towels are not a bad idea (washer and dryer are available at all cabins except Bella Vista and Rest & Relaxation)
- all of our cabins have grills, many of them are charcoal - you will need to provide your own charcoal
- if there is a particular piece of cooking equipment that you absolutely need to prepare that special meal you are planning, please play it safe and bring it along. We have basic pots, pans and bakeware, but odds are your cabin will not have a garlic press, bamboo steamer, fondue set, waffle maker, turkey roasting pan, etc.

Where can I get firewood?
Firewood is available at all of our cabins that have wood-burning fireplaces during cold months for a nominal fee of $4/bundle. We make every effort to keep the supply stocked, but should you run out we will not be able to restock it immediately -- we are dependent on a third party vendor. Should this be the case, firewood can be obtained from most local grocery and convenience stores.
