Chattahoochee National Forest

The city limits of Helen, Georgia are literally surrounded by the vast expanse of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Covering three-quarters of a million acres of North Georgia, the Chattahoochee National Forest provides visitors with scenic views, wildlife, and ample recreation possibilities, including waterfalls, hiking, and Brasstown Bald (the highest point in Georgia -- only 20 miles from Helen).
